                           NASCAR  NEWS

Danica Patrick showed a bikini clad image in magazines and said it not enough to bring an attraction in the IndyCar series.   Hummm.  What was the original hope.
06/06 Kyle Busch will run in 3 different races this weekend in 3 different states,  all that begining today.  Talk about your Triple Crown or trifecta or triple threat.
06/14  Kyle Busch is counting up victories at Nascar,  but he is also counting his enemies.  But then when did charm and good humor count for success in racing.
06/16  Dale, Jr. finally won one.  But not without controversy about passing the pace car.  He was doing it to save gas.  And Caterpillar will now be the sponsor of Jeff Burton,  replacing the long hold by AT&T.
06/30  Kurt Busch was lucky and he had good stategy by not pitting to take gas, then had the race shortened by storms.  Jeff Stewart lead 132 laps but then pitted and the rest is history.
07/02  Jamie McMurray won the Pepsi 400 in Daytona last year.  Since then, he has fallen off the radar screen.  He finished no better than 38th in his next 3 races and did not get to the top 20 until 7 races later.

                                NFL NEWS
06/19  Boston has the world champs in baseball,  The Red Sox.   Also the champs in basketball - the Celtics.  Now if only their football team could hold up their end.
07/02  Just when the Bucs needed Earnest Graham, he came thru and helped them to the playoffs in 2007.  So now he is rewarded with a 3 year contract worth $10 million.  Good going for both.

                               NCAA NEWS

06/02   New rules for the year.  The game clock will be restarted when the ball is spotted after a player goes out of bounds,  not on the next snap.  The exception will be during the last two minuetes of each half.

                                NBA NEWS
06/18  Is was worse than the Boston Tea Party.  The Celtics held a massacre of the Lakers to win the NBA final.

06/25  Arizona sheriff took away Shaq's deputy badges.  Shame.  The Gatoraide soaked shirt of Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers brought $55,000 on eBay.  It went to charrity.
06/27  Six underclassmen went in NBA draft.  Three freshmen and 3 sophomores among the first 15 men taken.  The #1 pick was Derrick Rose taken by The Bulls and Michael Beasley taken by Miami Heat.
                                MLB NEWS

06/15  The Devil Rays are still moving on.  Matt Garza racked up 7 very good innings to get them victory over the Marlins.  And Jonny Gomes hit a homer at his first at bat.
06/19  Its been 12 years since J.D. Drew turned down the Phillies when they drafted him #1.    But the fans still remember and boo him every time he comes to bat.
06/30  The Devil Rays are hoping for a second half nearly as good as their 1st half of the season.  Well - the Dodgers never got to bat in the ninth - and it ruined a no-hitter because they did not have 27 plate appearances.  Just call it a no-no-no-hitter.
07/02  What in the world has happened to hitters.  Not one is on pace to hit 40 home runs in the AL.  Maybe its something in the water.
Bonds 756th home run ball is now in the Hall of Fame.  It sold for $752,467 last year on ebay and the buyer ran a survey to find out what to do with it   The winner was to put in the Hall with an asterick for the steroid use.

                             PGA GOLF NEWS

06/25  Ty Tryon was a rookie on his way up on the PGA tour in 2001.  He had $8 million in endorsements and was a phenom.  Then he did not make it.  Today he has no endorsements and is trying to make it again on the tour.  Good luck Ty.

                           TENNIS NEWS.

06/19  Roger Federer and Ana Ivanovic are the #1 ranked player for the Wimbelton.
06/25  Venus Williams got through her 1st round match,  as did Rafael Nadal at Wimbleton.
06/27 Maria Sharapova and Andy Riddick were not serving up aces in their match,  but only humility.
06/30  The Willliams sisters are on track to meet each other at wimbledon. They have made it to the quarter finals.

06/10  With Big Brown hooked up with UPS,  If I were Fed-Ex I would hitch up the Belmont stakes winner, Da'Tara.  At the Belmont,  there was a lack of water pressure,  so the men were relieving themselves on the shrubs, and the women were using the men's room - I guess they were pretty desperate.  And a power failure in New York caused a lot of folds to miss the race - it was a "brown out."
